A 15 days long certification training program on Level II in Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing PAUT as per ISO 9712 has been started at LARA through PMI on 18th October 2021 for the 5th batch consisting of 7 executives from NTPC Lara, Sipat, Talcher Kaniha, Ramagundam, BRBCL & Corporate OS Raipur who have already completed the online theory module on virtual academy of TWIUK   This training is unique of its kind and is provided by NDT experts of TWI India part of TWI UK by bringing sufficient numbers of PAUT Equipment, calibration blocks, plenty of standard test pieces of weld on plate with known defects for practicing & standard test pieces of examination at Lara itself for ease of participants.   The inaugural session on 18th October 2021 was addressed by Shri Alok Gupta, Head of the Project Lara, Shri M.K.Srivastava EDEngineering, Shri R.K.Sinha, Head PMI, Shri J.S.S. Murthy, GMO&M Lara, Shri M.K.Asthana, GM QA&I, NI Welding Research, Shri A.Sathish Murugan, Advance NDT expert, TWI India and Shri Alok Kumar, HeadFQA LARA   The participants will undergo final examination on theory & practicals which will continue for 3 days at the end of training, the CCTV recordings of examination, examination records of each participant will go to TWI UK for independent evaluation. The certification from TWIUK is having global recognition. The training will conclude on 02 November 2021.
